2023 Tata Nexon Facelift and Nexon Electric to Launch on September 14

Introduction

Tata Motors is set to launch the facelifted version of the Nexon compact SUV and the updated Nexon Electric in the Indian market on September 14, 2023. The Nexon has gained immense popularity and is currently one of the best-selling SUVs in the country. The upcoming facelifted model has been spotted testing on public roads multiple times.

Design and Interiors

The leaked pictures of the production model reveal significant changes in the rear design and interiors. The exterior and interior of the SUV have undergone a complete redesign. Notable updates include a full-width horizontal LED light bar at the rear, a redesigned bumper with new inserts, and a fake rear skid plate with the NEXON branding. The front fascia will be inspired by the Curve concept, featuring a split headlamp cluster, sleek LED DRLs, wider air inlets, and an updated bumper. The cabin will sport a new two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a touch-based panel for HVAC controls.

Features and Technology

The facelifted Nexon will come with several premium features and advanced technology. The dashboard and center console have been revised, and the use of physical buttons has been reduced to enhance the premium feel. It will offer a larger 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch instrument console, wireless charger, 360-degree camera system, and six airbags for safety.

Powertrain Options

The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift will be powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, 7-speed DCT, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed AMT. The petrol engine will get the addition of the 7-speed DCT, while the diesel engine will be paired with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT.
