A day after the third meeting of the opposition alliance ‘India’ in Mumbai, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has shared the video of a special meeting with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on YouTube. In this video, Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Prasad are seen cooking mutton together. During this, Lalu Prasad, while feeding the Congress MP mutton made by his own hands, explained the meaning of ‘political masala’ and said that the leader should struggle and fight against injustice.
Interesting Conversation with Lalu Ji
Lalu Prasad prepared mutton for Rahul Gandhi at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP and Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti in Delhi. While sharing a glimpse of this video on social media platform, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Interesting conversation with popular leader, Lalu ji on his secret recipe and ‘political spice’. India’s vision for the poor, the underprivileged, minorities and women is one – equality, progress and empowerment.”
Learning to Cook at a Young Age
In this video, RJD supremo says that he has ordered this mutton from Bihar. Whereas Rahul Gandhi asks when did you learn cooking for the first time? To this Lalu Prasad replied, ‘I learned cooking at the age of six. My brothers used to work in Patna, I came with them, there we learned. In the video, Lalu Prasad also says that apart from Bihar’s cuisine, he likes Thai food. After this, Rahul Gandhi says that he respects Lalu Prasad’s political knowledge a lot.
The Spice of Politics
Rahul Gandhi asks Lalu Prasad what is ‘political masala’. To this Lalu Prasad replied, ‘The spice of politics is to struggle. If you see injustice somewhere, then fight against it. Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, the RJD chief said that political hunger does not go away, that is why people of BJP spread hatred. On this, Rahul Gandhi also asks him what is the suggestion for him? In response to this, Lalu said to Rahul Gandhi, ‘I am of the opinion that your father, grandparents had shown a new path to the country, they should not be forgotten.’
Fighting Against Hatred
In the video, Rahul Gandhi says that hatred has to be eradicated from the country. According to the video, the Congress leader also took Lalu’s handmade mutton for his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

कांग्रेस के सांसद राहुल गांधी ने मुंबई में हुए विपक्षी गठबंधन ‘इंडिया’ की तीसरी बैठक के एक दिन बाद राष्ट्रीय जनता दल (आरजेडी) के सरदार लालू प्रसाद यादव के साथ एक विशेष बैठक का वीडियो यूट्यूब पर साझा किया है। इस वीडियो में, राहुल गांधी और लालू प्रसाद को मिलकर मटन पका रहे दिखाई देते हैं। इस दौरान, लालू प्रसाद ने कांग्रेस सांसद को अपने हाथों से बनाया हुआ मटन खिलाते हुए ‘राजनीतिक मसाले’ के अर्थ की समझ दिलाई और कहा कि नेता को अन्याय के खिलाफ संघर्ष करना चाहिए।
लालू प्रसाद ने राज्यसभा सांसद और लालू प्रसाद की बेटी मीसा भारती के निवास पर राहुल गांधी के लिए मटन तैयार किया। इस वीडियो का एक झलक सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर साझा करते हुए राहुल गांधी ने लिखा, ‘लालू जी के गुप्त रेसिपी और ‘राजनीतिक मसाले’ के बारे में दिलचस्प बातचीत। गरीब, पिछड़े, अल्पसंख्यक और महिलाओं के लिए भारत की दृष्टि एक है – समानता, प्रगति और सशक्तिकरण।’
इस वीडियो में, आरजेडी के सरदार कहते हैं कि उन्होंने यह मटन बिहार से मंगवाया है। जबकि राहुल गांधी उनसे पूछते हैं कि आपने पहली बार कब पकाना सीखा? इस पर लालू प्रसाद ने कहा, ‘मैं छह साल की उम्र में पकाना सीखा। मेरे भाई पटना में काम करते थे, मैं उनके साथ आया, वहीं हमने सीखा।’
वीडियो में लालू प्रसाद ने कहा है कि बिहार के खाने के अलावा उन्हें थाई खाना भी पसंद है। इसके बाद, राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि वह लालू प्रसाद के राजनीतिक ज्ञान का बहुत सम्मान करता है।
जबकि राहुल गांधी लालू प्रसाद से पूछते हैं कि ‘राजनीतिक मसाला’ क्या है? इस पर लालू प्रसाद ने कहा, ‘राजनीति का मसाला संघर्ष करना है। अगर आप कहीं पर अन्याय देखते हैं, तो उसके खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ो।’
भारतीय जनता पार्टी को लक्षित करते हुए, आरजेडी के मुखिया ने कहा कि राजनीतिक भूख कभी नहीं मिटती, इसलिए भाजपा के लोग नफरत फैलाते हैं। इस पर राहुल गांधी ने उनसे पूछा कि उनके लिए सुझाव क्या है? इसका जवाब देते हुए, लालू ने राहुल गांधी से कहा, ‘मेरी राय है कि आपके पिता, दादा-दादी ने देश को नया रास्ता दिखाया था, उन्हें भूला नहीं जाना चाहिए।’
वीडियो में, राहुल गांधी ने कहा है कि देश से नफरत को खत्म करना होगा। वीडियो के अनुसार, कांग्रेस नेता ने लालू के हाथ से बनाया हुआ मटन अपनी बहन प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा के लिए भी लिया।
