Alcohol Ban Resolution Fails as Drunkard Beats Wife
A month ago, the police organized a meeting with the villagers in Damjor Nayasi Tola, where they resolved to stop consuming alcohol. This brought joy to the women in the village, as they hoped that the money previously spent on alcohol would now be used for their household needs. However, their hope was short-lived.
On Friday, Prince Khaira, under the influence of alcohol, brutally beat his wife Phoolkumari Devi and dragged her out of the house. Shocked by this incident, the women in the neighborhood, along with the victim’s wife and several others, went to the police station to demand strict action against the drunkard. Some women also reported that despite the resolution, some villagers were still consuming alcohol, leading to violent behavior.
Vikas Khaira, Anjay Khaira, and Nago Khaira have also been accused in relation to this incident. Police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar assured that strict action will be taken against the accused.
