Vikassheel Insaan Party founder and former minister Mukesh Sahni has claimed that his party will influence 60 seats in three states in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Mukesh Sahni said on Saturday that the Mallah caste is in majority in 60 Lok Sabha constituencies of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand. This time the Mallah caste is fully aware of their rights.
The party with which VIP will form an alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, will get 60 seats in these three states.
He was addressing the meeting organized at Vishunpurwa playground during Nishad Reservation Sankalp Yatra on Saturday.
Votes are sold for Rs 100-200: Sahni
He said that the population of Mallah caste is 15 percent in these three states. Still, this caste is not getting any benefit of reservation. They are also at the last position in politics. Due to illiteracy, votes are sold for Rs 100-200. The day the people of this caste will understand the importance of vote, they will automatically get their rights.
Lack of education is a big problem
He said that due to lack of education, the people of this caste are not going to occupy high positions. They are earning their livelihood by fishing. Therefore send children to school.
Taking the names of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav, Mayawati and Ram Vilas Paswan, he said that people of their caste got participation in politics only if they did not sell their votes. When he came to power, he gave the benefit of reservation to his community. Therefore, take a pledge that you will not sell votes. In the Sankalp Sabha, about one thousand people took a pledge not to sell votes by taking Ganga water and to take forward the ideology of the party.
