The incident took place on August 30, 2023. According to passengers, the thief stole a woman’s bag on a train traveling from Katihar to Samastipur (Train number 05263) in the Barauni Flag. When the passengers noticed the thief, they tried to catch him, but he managed to escape. Later, another person saw the thief 2 kilometers behind Bachhwara Junction and informed another passenger. Meanwhile, a youth named Hemant Kumar tried to catch the thief, but he put his life at risk and hung on the window of the moving train by opening the gate. The train was moving fast, so he couldn’t escape. As soon as he hung on the window, people caught him. The thief started crying and pleaded to be released. This video is rapidly going viral on social media.
