Introduction:

In a recent development in Maharashtra, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale made a surprising claim about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that Gandhi, after concluding his speech in the parliament, made an inappropriate gesture, described as a ‘flying kiss’. This incident has sparked controversy and has led to the demand by BJP’s women MPs for strict action against Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi’s Alleged Misconduct in Parliament:

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale claimed that Rahul Gandhi disrespected the parliament’s decorum by making a ‘flying kiss’ gesture after finishing his speech. He stated that this is not an appropriate attitude, especially in the parliament where everyone should be treated with respect. Athawale also took offense to Gandhi’s statement about the killing of India in Manipur and said that it is highly objectionable. He stressed that politics should not be played on the issue of Manipur.

Demand for Action Against Rahul Gandhi:

The female MPs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday and demanded strict action against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making the ‘flying kiss’ gesture during Union Minister Smriti Irani’s address. In a complaint letter signed by 20 female MPs of the BJP, they expressed their dismay at the incident involving Rahul Gandhi, the MP from Wayanad, Kerala.

The letter read, “We wish to draw your attention to a very unfortunate incident related to MP Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad, Kerala. He showed indecent behavior and made inappropriate gestures towards Union Minister and member of the house, Smriti Irani when she was addressing the house.”

The BJP’s female MPs demanded strict action against Rahul Gandhi for his alleged indecent behavior, which not only insulted a female member of the house but also belittled the dignity of the parliament. The female MPs who signed the complaint letter include Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Darshana Jardosh, Annapurna Devi, party MPs Rekha Verma, Devashree Choudhury, Sanghamitra Maury, Aparajita Sarangi, Pratibha Bhoumik, among others.

This incident has sparked a new controversy in Maharashtra politics and has led to a heated debate about the behavior of MPs in the parliament. It remains to be seen what action will be taken against Rahul Gandhi in light of these allegations.
