Maruti Suzuki launches Jimny SUV to meet growing demand for off-road vehicles
Maruti Suzuki has launched the Jimny SUV in response to the increasing interest in off-road vehicles. The Jimny is equipped with powerful features and a 4X4 powertrain system, making it capable of handling rough terrains. It is now giving tough competition to Mahindra’s popular off-roader, the Thar. Unlike the Thar, the Jimny offers rear bench seats that may not be as comfortable for long journeys. The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that generates 105 bhp of power and 134 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic gearbox. All variants of the Jimny come with a 4-wheel drive train as standard and have a fuel efficiency of 16.94 kmpl.
In terms of features, the Jimny offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For safety, it includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, rearview camera, and parking sensors.
