A young man in Nalanda, Bihar died on Wednesday night after being crushed under a tractor’s engine. The incident took place near Supasan Murgiyachak village under the Vena police station area. The deceased has been identified as Sunny Kumar (34), son of Kishori Prasad from Ganjpar.

According to the relatives, a resident of the same village was loading cement onto the tractor when Sunny Kumar was passing by. The tractor driver asked Sunny to climb onto the engine, and as the tractor started moving forward, the hook connecting the engine and the tractor broke. This caused the engine to topple into a water-filled pothole, trapping Sunny underneath and causing his death. After the incident, the tractor driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Local residents arrived and pulled Sunny out of the water-filled pothole, but it was too late as he had already passed away. The police and the deceased’s family were immediately informed about the incident.

When the family members received the news of the death, the village was filled with grief. The body was taken into custody for post-mortem examination and handed over to the family. The tractor has been seized and the police have initiated further investigation.
