Bihar’s Begusarai witnessed a violent shootout over a land dispute. An elderly man was shot in the leg, resulting in serious injuries. The family immediately rushed him to the Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for treatment. The incident took place in the Dumri village under the Singhoul police station area. The injured person has been identified as Jogo Singh, a resident of Dumri village.

Jogo Singh, the injured man, stated that there has been an ongoing dispute over a piece of land with his neighbor Deepak Singh for years. Last night, the neighbor resorted to firing in relation to the land dispute. Jogo Singh explained, “When we were sleeping in our house, some criminals entered and started firing. During the shooting, I got shot in my leg. Upon hearing the gunshots, my family members rushed to the scene, but the attackers had already fled.”

After being injured, Jogo Singh was taken to the Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for medical treatment. The incident was reported to the Singhoul police station by the family. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
