Overhauling of Jammu Tawi Station’s Western Cabin and Launching of Foot Over Bridge at Kandrori Yard

As part of efforts to improve passenger convenience, the western cabin of Jammu Tawi station will undergo overhauling, and a foot over bridge (FOB) will be launched at Kandrori yard. These upgrades will result in the cancellation and change of operations for several trains.

According to Virendra Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, the upgradation work is scheduled to take place from 15th to 19th September. As a safety measure, the operation of one pair of trains passing through East Central Railway will be cancelled, two pairs of trains will have partial closures or start from different points, and one train will be operated under control.

Controlled Trains

  • 15655 Kamakhya-Shrivaishno Devi Katra Express, scheduled to run from Kamakhya on 17th September, will experience a delay of 180 minutes from Kamakhya. It will be controlled for 45 minutes in Ambala division and 45 minutes in Firozpur division.

Cancelled Trains

  • 12492 Jammu Tawi-Baruni Maurya Dhwaj Express, scheduled for September.
  • 12491 Barauni-Jammutavi Maurya Dhwaj Express, scheduled for September.

Trains with Partial Closures or Starting Points

  • On 13th and 15th September, 18101 Tata-Jammu Tawi Express will be partially discontinued in Amritsar.
  • On 16th and 18th September, 18102 Jammu Tawi-Tata Express will partially start from Amritsar.
  • On 14th and 16th September, 18309 Sambalpur-Jammutvi Express will be partially discontinued in Amritsar.
  • On 17th and 19th September, 18310 Jammutavi-Sambalpur Express will partially start from Amritsar.

These changes are being made to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers during the upgradation work at Jammu Tawi station and Kandrori yard.
