A 60-year-old man was shot with bullets in a land dispute in the Nalanda district. The man’s condition is serious and he is currently receiving treatment at Vardhman Ayurvedic Institute in Pawapuri Medical College. The incident took place in the Zinda Vigaha village under the jurisdiction of Silao police station. The injured man has been identified as Binda Yadav. With the help of his family members, Binda Yadav was admitted to the primary health center in Silao and later transferred to Vardhman Ayurvedic Institute for further treatment.

According to the grandson of the injured man, Arun Kumar, there is an ongoing land dispute with their neighbors, which is currently under the jurisdiction of the sub-divisional officer. On Friday, their neighbor forcefully plowed their land, leading to a dispute between them. The matter was settled in the afternoon. In the evening, the neighbor came drunk and attempted to hit Binda Yadav’s grandfather with a helmet near a temple. The grandfather then went to the police station to file a complaint, but the neighbor ran away before the police arrived. Despite the complaint, the police did not take any action.

The relatives of Binda Yadav stated that on Saturday morning, their neighbor came to their house and started firing indiscriminately. Six bullets hit Binda Yadav’s grandfather. Arun Kumar revealed that there is a dispute over 6 katthas of land with their neighbor Dinesh Yadav. In the midst of this dispute, Dinesh Yadav and his accomplices fired around 13 rounds at their house on Saturday morning. Six bullets hit Binda Yadav on his shoulder, stomach, back, and hand.

After the incident, the accused fled the village. The Silao police station in-charge, Rakesh Kumar, stated that the police have reached the village and initiated an investigation into the case of firing. Binda Yadav has been admitted to Pawapuri Medical College for better treatment. The accused is currently on the run, and the police are actively searching for him. The incident has been a result of the ongoing land dispute.
