A car crashed and fell off a bridge in Nalanda, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to seven others. The incident took place near Mahmadpur village in the Khudaganj police station area. The deceased has been identified as Sushant Kumar, the son of Sanjay Kumar from Mayor village under the Noorsarai police station area. The injured individuals are also residents of the same village. The family members have been informed after conducting a post-mortem examination on the body.
According to the relatives, Sushant, along with other people, had gone to Jharkhand for sightseeing. They were returning home from Rajgir Khudaganj on Tuesday night when the accident occurred near Mahmadpur village. Sushant Kumar was the only son and used to work at his father’s Newton Pipe Factory. The entire village is in a state of shock and mourning after the incident.
The Khudaganj police informed that the four-wheeler car lost control and fell off the bridge due to high-speed. The police team immediately reached the spot and rescued all the injured individuals from the car. They were then admitted to the Islampur PHC for better treatment. One person lost their life at the accident site despite the airbags opening. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination and further investigation is underway.
This incident has left the relatives devastated and the village atmosphere mournful. The authorities are taking appropriate action in the case.
