In Betia, a man who was out for a morning walk was hit by an unidentified vehicle and died on the spot. The incident occurred near the Collectorate Chowk in the city. The deceased has been identified as Brizmohan Patel, the 55-year-old son of the late Lakhna Raut, a resident of the Pokhara Mohalla area in the police station area.
As soon as the information about the case was received, the police reached the scene and started investigating. The body was taken into custody by the Nagar Thana police and sent to the Betia Government Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The police believe that the death of Brizmohan Patel was caused by the impact of a speeding vehicle. The search for the driver of the vehicle is underway, and some people are being questioned. Further action will be taken in the case as the investigation progresses.
Meanwhile, Brizmohan Patel’s son, Vicky Kumar, revealed that his father used to go for a morning walk every day. On Thursday morning, he went for his usual walk, but during that time, he was hit by a speeding vehicle near the Collectorate Chowk and died. The identity of the vehicle responsible for the accident is still unknown. The Nagar Thana director, Rajeev Kumar, stated that the police were informed about the incident and the body was sent for postmortem at the GMC Hospital. The surrounding CCTV footage will also be examined to determine the vehicle involved in the accident, and appropriate action will be taken against the culprit.
