A teenager in Nalanda attempted suicide by hanging himself after being scolded by his mother. The incident took place in Pawai village under the jurisdiction of Parvalpur police station on Thursday. The teenager, identified as Sumit Kumar, is the 17-year-old son of the late Shivdhani Ram, who was undergoing treatment by a doctor in Nalanda.
According to Sumit’s aunt, he had come home with an egg. However, it is unclear why he was scolded by his mother. As a result, Sumit took the extreme step of hanging himself. The family members immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
The police have been informed about the incident and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause behind the suicide attempt. The family is in shock and the community is also deeply disturbed by the incident. The incident highlights the need for mental health support and awareness in the community, especially for young individuals who may be struggling with emotional distress.
