In Vaishali, a dispute over bursting firecrackers led to a shooting incident where three people were injured. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital by their relatives, but due to the severity of their condition, they have been referred to a higher medical facility for better treatment. The incident took place in the Amritpur village of the Vaishali police station area.
According to the family members, after returning home from offering prayers during the Chhath Puja festival, the children of the house were bursting firecrackers. This led to an argument between two parties. However, the situation escalated and turned into a verbal fight between the two sides. When one party objected to the other party’s use of abusive language, the other party immediately pulled out a weapon and started firing indiscriminately. During this time, three people from the first party were shot. All the injured were taken to the nearby hospital, where the doctors referred them to Patna for further treatment. The injured individuals are identified as Pramod Ray (35), Pradeep Ray (70), and Mukesh Kumar (30).
The Vaishali police station in-charge, Chandragupta Kumar, stated that as soon as they received the information about the incident, the police reached the crime scene. During the investigation, it was revealed that the dispute arose over bursting firecrackers. In this dispute, shots were fired, resulting in three people getting injured. All the injured individuals have been sent for treatment. The police will take further action once they receive a written complaint from the injured party. Currently, the police are conducting an investigation. The police station in-charge also mentioned that all the accused individuals have fled their homes after the incident.
