Chhath Vrat, a religious festival celebrated by devotees in Seewan, concluded with the offering of arghya (water oblation) to the rising sun and the completion of a 36-hour long fast. The devotees stood in water and offered prayers to the Sun God. The banks of all the ghats in Seewan were crowded with a large number of people during the arghya ceremony. The devotees displayed great enthusiasm during the festival. Ghats such as Daha Nahin Pul Ghat, Pulwa Ghat, Siswan’s Sarayu River Ghat, and Raghunathpur Ghat witnessed a huge gathering of devotees and Chhath Vrat observers. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and the sound of Chhath songs at all the ghats. The festival showcased the strong faith of the people.
