Meeting of Cabinet in Bihar to discuss reservation; demands special state status; proposes reservation increase.

The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is fully focused on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Within 50 days of the release of the caste-based census report, the scope of reservations has been expanded. The next day, the Bihar cabinet demanded special state status from the central government. The Bihar cabinet played a big move by putting pressure on the central government in an important meeting on Wednesday. The state cabinet proposed increasing reservations in the entire country on the lines of Bihar and also reached a consensus to send this recommendation to the central government.
