Former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin’s son Osama Shahab has been granted bail in the Hussein Ganj case. He has been given relief in the case and has been in custody for about 20 days in Siwan Jail. It is reported that Osama filed for bail on November 22 and a hearing was held in which the court made a decision to keep the bail application pending. Now, on November 23, the court granted him bail on certain conditions.

The Siwan District Court’s ADJ Tinu Kumar has granted bail to Osama Shahab. However, he will still have to stay in jail as the case in which he was granted bail is related to the Hussein Ganj police station area. His lawyers have stated that he also has an FIR registered in Motihari district. A few days ago, he was also presented in the Motihari court as per the court’s order. Until bail is granted in the Motihari case, Osama will remain in jail for now.

The case against Osama Shahab involves his arrest by the Rajasthan Police under section 156. After that, the police team from Hussein Ganj police station brought him to Siwan in connection with a 42-kattha land dispute case in Chapia Bujurg. There was a shootout in the Chapia village on October 6 regarding the land dispute, where Osama’s name came up and the landowner Jimmy filed an FIR in Hussein Ganj. The whole dispute is related to the 42-kattha land. Apart from this, there is also an FIR registered against Osama in Motihari, which is related to a domestic dispute with his sister-in-law involving boundary breaking and firing.
