Royal Enfield Unveils Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield has recently launched its new bike, the Himalayan 450, during the Motoverse 2023 event held in Goa. Detailed information about the bike was already known, but the price was revealed by Royal Enfield’s chief, Siddharth Lal, during the event.

Inspiration and Pricing

As per media reports, Siddharth Lal explained during the event why Royal Enfield thought about upgrading the Himalayan. He stated that the Himalayan 450 bike is inspired by martial art expert Bruce Lee. The starting price of Royal Enfield’s latest bike is 2.69 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The bike has another variant, the Henley Black Top variant, which is priced at 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom) rupees. The Himalayan 450 has been launched in three variants: base, pass, and summit.

Design and Engine

Royal Enfield has introduced this bike with a modern rugged design, new LED headlights, and a redesigned fuel tank. Changes like a windscreen, redesigned LED indicators can be noticed. The Himalayan 450 features a new 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which is the company’s first liquid-cooled engine. This new engine generates 40 bhp at 8000 rpm.

Features and Riding Modes

This bike offers two riding modes, eco and performance. Customers can also choose whether they want to keep the rear ABS on or off in these modes. Along with a modern design, Royal Enfield’s latest bike offers special features such as a full-color TFT display, Google Maps support, and screen mirroring.
