Jharkhand Politics: All parties are gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. While some are preparing to directly enter the field, others are looking for alliances. Congress has been working to bring back its old leaders for the past two years. As a result, former Pradesh Adhyaksh (State President), former Minister, and former MLA who had left the party, have returned to the party.

After their return to Congress, these leaders are now ready to showcase their strength in the Lok Sabha elections and subsequently in the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha elections. Congress has launched a campaign to bring back its old leaders and workers, and as a result, not only old party members but also those who were never associated with Congress are now joining the party.

Credit for bringing back former presidents, including former MLAs, goes to Pradesh Adhyaksh Rajesh Thakur, according to party leaders. Those returning to the party have also expressed their trust in the party and the Pradesh Adhyaksh, which has resulted in a stronger Congress.

Before the 2019 Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha elections, two former Pradesh Adhyakshs, Sukhdev Bhagat and Pradeep Balmuchu, who had left Congress, have returned to the party. In addition to them, former MLA Chandrika Mahtha from Jamua has also returned to Congress. Recently, former Minister Geetashree Oraon has also rejoined Congress. Many other leaders, including Munna Singh who contested elections from Hazaribagh, Oban Malik from AIMIM, Sanjay Baseria from Dumka, and Sajda Khatoon, a district council member from Giridih, have also joined Congress.
