UP News: Illegal Colonies Demolished by Agra Development Authority
In the Dhanoli area of Shahganj, Agra, illegal colonies were being constructed on a 3,500 square meter plot of land with Khasra number 617 by Sunil Nagar, Dharmvir, Omvir, Banwari, Manoj Kumar, Bhupendra, and Gaurav. However, the Agra Development Authority demolished these colonies on Wednesday. This was done under Section 27 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, where the roads and walls under construction in the colony were destroyed.
Illegal Construction Continues Despite Sealing
In Ward Shahganj, at Maruti Estate Chowk, Manoj Kumar Goyal, son of the oil mafia Ghurelal Goyal, had carried out construction on a plot without obtaining the necessary approvals. The multi-storey commercial building had been sealed due to unauthorized construction, but the seal was broken by the oil mafia and construction resumed.
Repeat Sealing by ADA
In response, the Assistant Engineer of the Agra Development Authority, along with a team of sub-engineers and enforcement officers, carried out the sealing again. Manoj Goyal has previously carried out unauthorized construction in the restricted area of Bhagwan Talkies.
Illegal Encroachments Cleared by Nagar Nigam
The enforcement team of the Nagar Nigam cleared vehicles parked in front of auto parts shops and on the road in Baluganj. A warning was issued that if vehicles were found parked in excess again, fines would be imposed. The team also removed 54 stalls, 14 carts, and 11 tin sheds on a 100-foot road near Prithvinath Temple in Lohamandi zone. A fine of Rs 36,500 was collected for the encroachment. Junior Engineer Pawan Kumar and Sanitary Inspector Rajiv Baliyan were present on the occasion.
Confiscation of Buffaloes near Air Force Station
Under the leadership of the Municipal Veterinary Officer Ajay Kumar Singh, 31 buffaloes were confiscated at Tata Gate near the Air Force Station on Wednesday. When the municipal cattle catcher team arrived, the livestock owners created a ruckus and opposed the confiscation of the buffaloes, but the team managed to take the animals away.
