Efforts have been made by the Barabanki-Ayodhya-Shahganj-Jaunpur rail section of the Lucknow division of North Eastern Railway to improve passenger convenience. Temporary changes have been made to the operation of some trains of East Central Railway that pass through this rail section. This is due to the doubling work between Shahganj-Bilwai-Tulsi Nagar stations. This will increase the line capacity and improve train punctuality.
As a result, the Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Special train, which was scheduled to run from Ahmedabad on December 8 and 15, 2023, has been cancelled. Similarly, the Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Special train, which was scheduled to run from Darbhanga on December 11 and 18, 2023, has also been cancelled.
The route of the Jaynagar-Amritsar Express, scheduled to run on December 8, 10, 12, and 15, 2023, has been changed. It will now run via Chapra-Gorakhpur-Gonda-Barabanki-Lucknow. The Amritsar-Jaynagar Express, scheduled to run on December 11 and 13, 2023, will also follow the new route.
Similarly, the route of the Kishanganj-Ajmer Express, scheduled to run on December 8, 10, 12, and 15, 2023, has been changed. It will now run via Chapra-Gorakhpur-Gonda-Barabanki-Lucknow. The Ajmer-Kishanganj Express, scheduled to run on December 7, 11, 12, and 14, 2023, will also follow the new route.
The route of the Surat-Muzaffarpur Express, scheduled to run on December 15, 2023, has also been changed. It will now run via Lucknow-Barabanki-Gonda-Gorakhpur-Chapra. The Muzaffarpur-Surat Express, scheduled to run on December 10, 2023, will also follow the new route.
The route of the Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Express, scheduled to run on December 6, 8, 10, 13, and 15, 2023, has been changed. It will now run via Lucknow-Barabanki-Gonda-Gorakhpur-Chapra. The Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express, scheduled to run on December 9, 11, 13, and 16, 2023, will also follow the new route.
The route of the Howrah-Yoganagari Rishikesh Dham Express, scheduled to run from Howrah to Yoganagari Rishikesh Dham from December 10 to 15, 2023, has been changed. It will now run via Varanasi-Maa Belha Devi Dham-Lucknow.
The route of the Yoganagari Rishikesh-Haridwar Express, scheduled to run from Yoganagari Rishikesh Dham to Howrah from December 10 to 15, 2023, has been changed. It will now run via Lucknow-Maa Belha Devi Dham-Varanasi.
अभिनव कुमार जी द्वारा बताया गया है कि उत्तर रेलवे के बाराबंकी-अयोध्या-शाहगंज-जफराबाद रेल खंड पर दोहरीकरण कार्य के मद्देनजर कुछ ट्रेनों के परिचालन में बदलाव किया गया है। इससे लाइन क्षमता में विस्तार होगा और गाड़ियों के समय पालन में सुधार होगा। इसके साथ ही अहमदाबाद-दरभंगा विशेष गाड़ी निरस्त होगी और कई ट्रेनों का रूट बदल जाएगा। इसके अलावा अन्य ट्रेनों के परिचालन में भी बदलाव किया गया है।
