UP News: The Uttar Pradesh administration has given approval for the operation of pod taxis in Noida. The pod taxis will run between the new film city and the Jewar airport. The pod taxi corridor will also connect various sectors. The 14.6 km long corridor has already been prepared with a cost of 641.53 crore rupees.
Double-track pod taxi corridor to be completed in a year. The selection of the company will be made next week. The authority has studied the London and Abu Dhabi models to bring this project. This project will be completed by March 2026. Global tenders for pod taxis will be issued next week. A pod taxi can accommodate 12 passengers.
There will be 12 stations on the route. The first pod taxi in the country will run between Noida airport and film city. The Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited has planned to operate pod taxis for 14 km between Noida airport and film city. There will be twelve stations on the route. The final DPR of the driverless pod taxi has been handed over to the Yamuna Authority.
The CEO of Yamuna Expressway Authority, Dr. Arun Veer Singh, said that the DPR has now been presented before the YEDA board (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority), after which it has been sent to the government for approval. Work is being done in this direction after getting approval from the government.

The Yamuna Authority has planned to operate personal rapid transit (PRT) between Jewar airport and film city. Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited has been selected to prepare the DPR for the pod taxi.
The CEO of YEDA, Dr. Arun Veer Singh, said that the distance between Noida International Airport and film city is approximately 5.5 km. To increase its utility, it has been suggested to adopt its path in the sectors of YEDA in the DPR. The pod taxi will run between Noida airport and film city through sectors 21, 28, 29, 32, and 33 of YEDA. Dr. Arun Veer Singh also said that as per the final DPR presented by the Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited, the unit of the Government of India, three suggestions were given on the PPP model to develop the project. These suggestions were discussed in the board meeting and sent to the state government for approval. With the consent of the state government, the company will be selected to develop it through global tender.
उत्तर प्रदेश प्रशासन ने नोएडा में पॉड टैक्सी को मंजूरी दे दी है। इसका संचालन नई फिल्म सिटी और जेवर एयरपोर्ट के बीच किया जाएगा। पॉड टैक्सी का संचालन करने के लिए 14.6 किमी लंबे कॉरिडोर की डीपीआर तैयार हो चुकी है और इस प्रोजेक्ट पर 641.53 करोड़ रुपये की लागत आएगी। पॉड टैक्सी का संचालन होने से सार्वजनिक परिवहन को मजबूती मिलेगी। इस परियोजना को मार्च 2026 तक पूरी किया जाएगा और पॉड टैक्सी के लिए ग्लोबल टेंडर अगले हफ्ते जारी किए जाएंगे। पॉड टैक्सी में 12 यात्रियों को ले जाने की क्षमता होगी। इस प्रोजेक्ट में यमुना एक्सप्रेसवे इंडस्ट्रियल डेवलपमेंट अथॉरिटी और इंडियन पोर्ट रेल एंड रोपवे कॉरपोरेशन लिमिटेड का सहयोग होगा। इसके अलावा यमुना एक्सप्रेसवे अथॉरिटी के सीईओ डॉ. अरुण वीर सिंह ने बताया कि नोएडा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट से फिल्म सिटी की दूरी को और भी कम करने के लिए यमुना अथॉरिटी ने येडा के सेक्टरों में ट्रैक बनाने की सुझाव दी है।
