In Gaya, Bihar, unknown thieves stole lakhs of rupees in cash and valuable goods from two shops located on the Khijarsarai Bypass Road. The incident occurred on Sunday night, just half a kilometer away from the Khijarsarai police station. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene.
According to the information, the thieves stole 1.5 lakh rupees in cash from M/s Rameshwari Enterprises located on the Khijarsarai Bypass. The shop owner, Shani Jwala, stated that the thieves spared no one, even taking 11 silver coins placed near the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi. Similarly, Vinay Singh, a resident of Bana village, had his mobile phone and other items worth 50,000 rupees stolen from his agricultural tractor parts shop. Both shops are in close proximity to each other.
It is noteworthy that there is also a residence of several officials, including the Khijarsarai sub-divisional police officer and the SDPO, near the scene of the incident. Despite being close to the residence, the thieves fearlessly continue to carry out their crimes. It should be mentioned that recently, the incident of theft at the Ritu Bhog Flour Mill was resolved. However, the police have not yet been able to arrest the culprits even after providing CCTV footage of the incident.
Villagers have reported that the police only focus on catching and releasing vehicles carrying illegal substances. There is no attention given to crime control. If this were the case, the incident of theft would not have been successful so close to the DSP office and sub-divisional headquarters. The case is currently being investigated by the station chief, Fahim Azaad Khan.
