Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party, Hindustani Awam Morcha, has made a statement that has caused tension. Former leaders of the party held a meeting in Patna, chaired by Rameshwar Prasad Yadav. Rajesh Nirala, the coordinator of the secular ‘group’, also participated. They stated that in the upcoming elections, they will strategize and work together as a group in the Lok Sabha elections.
The former leaders also stated that if the party chooses Santosh Manjhi as the candidate for the Gaya Lok Sabha seat, all the leaders and workers who left the party will work together to ensure his defeat. They also mentioned that they will only support Narendra Modi if the party gives a chance for a party worker to contest the elections.
The meeting chaired by Rameshwar Yadav also discussed opposition to giving tickets to father-son duo. They stated that if the party gives a ticket to the father-son duo in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, they will unite and work towards their defeat. They believe that the party has become a family-oriented party and has lost its essence as a people’s party, which has made many senior leaders and workers unhappy.
