Cold Wave Hits Bihar
Winter has arrived in Bihar with temperatures dropping below 10 degrees Celsius in 10 locations across the state in the past 24 hours. Gopalganj recorded 8.2°C, Motihari 9°C, Pupri 9.8°C, Pusa 8°C, Aurangabad 9.9°C, Gaya 8.8°C, Begusarai 9.7°C, Sabour 8°C, Banka 8.1°C, and Jamui 8.9°C. According to Dr. Ashish Kumar, a senior scientist at the Patna Meteorological Center, these temperatures are expected to continue for the next 5 days, with light to moderate fog in most parts of the state during the mornings.

According to the Patna Meteorological Center, western and northwestern winds are blowing at an altitude of 5.8 km above the surface in the state. Another western disturbance on December 16 could affect the western Himalayan region, leading to a further drop in temperatures. Currently, there is intense cold during the nights and mild cold during the days.

Today, the maximum temperature in Bihar is expected to be between 22 and 24°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be between 10 and 12°C. There is fog in the morning in Patna and other districts of the state, with sunny weather during the day.
