Former SSP of Gaya and IPS officer from the 2011 batch, Aditya Kumar, was interrogated by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) for nearly eight hours on Tuesday. During the questioning, the EOU team posed several questions to Aditya, who continued to deny all the allegations against him. The EOU officials also asked Aditya for his old mobile phone, but he claimed that it had been lost. He dismissed any association with Abhishek Agrawal, saying that they only had a casual acquaintance. Aditya also denied the allegations of tampering with the phone belonging to the then DIGP, stating that he had no benefit in doing so, as departmental action against him is still ongoing and he remains suspended.
In Bihar, the temperature in Bhagalpur dropped to 8 degrees, making it colder than Delhi, while Muzaffarpur experienced extreme cold weather conditions. Aditya denied all allegations during the interrogation. According to sources, Aditya had written letters to senior officers at the police headquarters regarding the misconduct of two IPS officers, which led to his entrapment. He completely denied any involvement with the liquor mafia. After the interrogation, Aditya Kumar was sent back to Beur Jail.
Aditya Kumar, an IPS officer, has been accused of arranging a phone call with the then DIGP through his friend Abhishek Agrawal, in the name of the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, for personal gain. Aditya has been on the run since the filing of the case. After his bail plea was rejected by the Supreme Court, Aditya surrendered in the Patna Civil Court on December 5th and was remanded in judicial custody until December 18th. During this time, the EOU obtained a 24-hour remand for Aditya from the court, which was completed on Tuesday. According to police sources, the EOU has prepared a charge sheet against Aditya and has sought permission from the Home Department to initiate prosecution. Once permission is granted, the case will be filed in court and further action will be taken.
बिहार की खबरों में गया के पूर्व एसएसपी और 2011 बैच के आइपीएस अधिकारी आदित्य कुमार के खिलाफ आर्थिक अपराध इकाई (इओयू) ने पूछताछ की है। इसमें आदित्य ने सभी आरोपों को इंकार किया है। इओयू की टीम ने आदित्य से उनका पुराना मोबाइल फोन मांगा है, लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि उसका फोन गुम हो गया है। इसके अलावा उन्होंने अभिषेक अग्रवाल के साथ किए गए दोस्ती के बारे में भी इंकार किया है। इसके बाद आदित्य को बेऊर जेल भेज दिया गया है। इस मामले में आदित्य को तत्कालीन डीजीपी के नाम पर फोन कराने का आरोप भी लगा है। इस बीच इओयू ने आदित्य के विरुद्ध आरोप-पत्र तैयार किया है और उनके विरुद्ध अभियोजन कार्य शुरू कराने के लिए गृह विभाग से अनुमति मांगी है।
