A man named Amit Kumar Yadav was shot dead by his brother-in-law in Banka district. The incident took place in Jhaja village of Fully Dummar police station area. Amit Yadav’s mother, Veena Devi, stated that her son was physically disabled. About six months ago, he had purchased a bike in the name of his brother-in-law, Suraj Yadav, from a private finance company. Veena Devi was making monthly payments for the bike. However, for the past month, Suraj Yadav had been insisting on taking the bike to his house, which Amit was not comfortable with.
On Wednesday evening, Suraj Yadav came to Jhaja village again and demanded the bike from Amit. When Amit refused to give it to him, an argument ensued, and Suraj started abusing him. The incident took place just 200 meters away from Suraj’s house. In the heat of the moment, Suraj took out a pistol from his waist and shot Amit in the head. As soon as the gunshot was heard, locals rushed to the spot. They found Amit lying in a pool of blood. He was taken to a referral hospital in an auto-rickshaw, where he was declared dead by Dr. Rai Bahadur.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Amarpur station reached the referral hospital and collected information about the incident. They then informed the Fully Dummar police station. The police have stated that the accused has been on the run since the incident and they are conducting raids to apprehend him.
