Jamui Railway Station to be Developed as Amrit Bharat Station
Jamui Railway Station, located in the Hazipur zone of the Asansol division of the Indian Railways, is set to undergo development as an Amrit Bharat station. The station will now be equipped with world-class facilities and will be comparable to other major stations in the country. The development work on Jamui Railway Station will cost Rs 23.38 crore.
Key Features of the Development
Under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, the development of Jamui Railway Station will focus on ensuring the convenience, comfort, and safety of passengers in the future. This includes the construction of station buildings, entry and exit gates, a 12-meter-wide foot overbridge, elevators and escalators, concourses, platforms, circulating areas, parking, facilities for the differently-abled, lighting arrangements, seating arrangements, drinking water facilities, cleanliness, access paths, signage boards, train displays, and announcement systems.
Significance of Jamui Railway Station
Jamui Railway Station is known for being one of the important stations on the Howrah-Delhi main rail line and for being the birthplace of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. It is situated between Jhajha and Kiul stations and serves as the main station for Jamui district headquarters. Due to its importance, a large number of people visit this station, and after its development, a larger number of people will benefit from it.
जमुई रेलवे स्टेशन हाजीपुर जोन का आखिरी रेलवे स्टेशन है और अब इसे अमृत स्टेशन के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है। यह स्टेशन वर्ल्ड क्लास सुविधाओं से लैस होगा और इसमें प्रीमियम क्वालिटी के शौचालय और दिव्यांग जनों के लिए विशेष सुविधाएं होंगी। इसके विकास के लिए 23 करोड़ 38 लाख रुपए का खर्च किया जाएगा। जमुई रेलवे स्टेशन भगवान महावीर की जन्मस्थली के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है और इसके विकास से लोगों को बहुत लाभ मिलेगा।
