Bihar: Woman Beaten to Death by Husband in Front of Children

In a shocking incident in the Betiya district of Bihar, a woman was beaten to death by her husband due to a family dispute. The husband then tried to hide the evidence by throwing the body into the bushes. The incident took place in the Tilangahi village under the Bariya police station area. The victim has been identified as Reena Devi (34), wife of Chandeshwar Chaudhary, a resident of Tilangahi village.

According to reports, Chandeshwar Chaudhary beat his wife to death in front of their children due to a family dispute. Other family members were also present during the assault. In an attempt to hide the evidence, the husband threw the body into the bushes near the river and fled. However, as soon as the police were informed about the incident, they arrested the accused husband. The police retrieved the body from the bushes near the river for post-mortem examination at the GMCH in Betiya.

Reena Devi, the deceased, is survived by a daughter and two sons. Her eldest daughter is Neha (14), while Sanjeev (11) and Golu Kumar (7) are her sons. Sanjeev Kumar, one of the sons, stated that their father locked them and their sister in a room before starting to beat their mother. The mother kept screaming while the children cried from the window. However, the father did not stop beating the mother until she took her last breath.

SDPO Mahatab Alam stated that the husband beat his wife to death due to a family dispute. Based on the statement of the victim’s relatives, the accused husband was arrested. The police are currently investigating the case and will soon arrest other accomplices involved in the crime.
