The poster reads, “If you really want to win, then you need determination and Nitish.” Political experts say that this poster has been put up by CM Nitish Kumar’s supporters to indicate their demand for him to be declared as the prime ministerial candidate by the Janata Dal (United) in the upcoming elections.
JD(U) MLA Rinku Singh demanded the declaration of CM Nitish Kumar as the prime ministerial candidate in the meeting of the Indian Alliance held in Delhi. He stated that “Apart from CM Nitish Kumar, there is no other face who can lead the Indian Alliance to victory. Therefore, CM Nitish Kumar should be declared as the prime ministerial candidate in tomorrow’s meeting.”
The decision for the prime ministerial candidate will be made after the 2024 elections. The opposition parties are holding a meeting today at Hotel Ashoka in Delhi. The main challenges before the United Front alliance to compete against the BJP after the setbacks in the recent state assembly elections will be discussed in the meeting. All major leaders of the constituent parties of the alliance have arrived in Delhi to participate in the meeting. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, who arrived in Delhi on Monday, said that the decision for the prime ministerial candidate of the alliance will be made after the 2024 elections. She expressed confidence that the alliance will resolve all issues, including seat-sharing, to defeat the BJP.
