In Seewan, Bihar, the manager of Western Union was shot and injured by criminals after a failed attempt to rob him of money. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment with the help of people nearby. This incident occurred at the Rishi Tour and Travels and Western Union shop in the Shivpur Mathiya Bazaar area of the Maerwa police station. The police have started investigating the case after receiving information about the incident. This is the third shooting incident in the district within 24 hours.
According to information, Rishi Jayaswal, the owner of Rishi Tour and Travels and Western Union shop, is the father of Vipin Prasad. He had arrived to open his shop as usual. At that time, three criminals arrived on a motorcycle pretending to be customers. They mentioned withdrawing money from their Aadhaar card. The shopkeeper told them to wait until the shop opened before they could receive the money.
After that, the criminals attempted to snatch a bag filled with money from the shopkeeper. When the shopkeeper resisted, they shot him. The shopkeeper fell down injured while the criminals fled waving their weapons. The bullet hit the shopkeeper’s thigh. With the help of people nearby, the injured person was admitted to the Seewan Sadar Hospital for treatment.
This is the third shooting incident within 24 hours in Seewan. The criminals seem to be out of control. The first incident occurred when a person was shot after his mobile was stolen late at night in the Mahrajganj police station area. He was shot in the hand and is currently undergoing treatment. The news was circulating that the criminals attempted to create terror by firing at the Seewan Glass House in Purana Kila Mod 2 Number Adda in the city. Now, on Wednesday around 10 am, the shopkeeper was shot and injured after a failed robbery attempt in Maerwa. Three shooting incidents in quick succession have created an atmosphere of fear in the district.
Within 24 hours in Seewan, three separate shooting incidents occurred in different police station areas. SP Shailesh Kumar Sinha has issued separate press releases stating that investigations are underway in each case.
