Fire broke out at the CFAI Institute located on Kanke Road in Ranchi this morning. The incident occurred around 9:30 am. The institute is situated right in front of the residence of the Speaker of the Assembly. The fire is said to have started due to a short circuit. Traffic was diverted to the other lane of Kanke Road for about half an hour. The fire department was informed, and two fire engines arrived at the scene. After about one and a half hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control. The entire institute was completely destroyed.

The CFAI Institute is located on the top floor of the building where the fire broke out. In addition, there is also Kuppu Swami Restaurant on the ground floor of the same building. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that smoke was seen first, followed by the spread of fire. Due to the presence of fire extinguishers nearby, the fire did not spread further. However, the CFAI Institute was completely burnt down. It was reported that some shops were open at the time of the incident, while there was no one in the institute.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted due to the fire, causing chaos at the scene. Two fire engines arrived at the scene when the fire broke out, which is the time for office commute. To avoid traffic congestion, the traffic was diverted to one lane, allowing the vehicles to pass through. After 11 am, the traffic returned to normal. Both lanes of Kanke Road have been opened for the movement of vehicles.
