Gulshan Kasyap, an NRI from the United States, had come to Bihar with the intention of opening a charitable hospital and helping people. However, he got caught up in a big scam that has left him stuck in Bihar and unwilling to help the people there. The incident is related to a land deal in Jamui district, where Kasyap had planned to buy a plot of land to open the hospital. He had already paid a significant amount of money for the land, but later found out that there was a court stay on the property and the deal could not go through. As a result, he is now stranded in Bihar and does not want to return or offer any help to the people there.
Kasyap had intended to open a hospital in Lakshmipur, Jamui district, and had been in the process of purchasing the land. He had negotiated a deal for Rs 2.3 crore and had already made a payment of Rs 1.15 crore. However, when it was time for the land to be registered, it was discovered that there was a court stay on the property, preventing the purchase from being completed. This revelation came as a shock, and Kasyap started facing difficulties in getting his money back from the intermediaries involved in the land deal. The registry of the land was supposed to take place in March 2023, but the entire process has been delayed until December.
Kasyap, who had wanted to do good for the people, now feels disillusioned and is no longer interested in helping the people of Bihar. He has informed the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police about the incident, but has not received much assistance so far. He has lost faith in the people he had hoped to help and does not want to return to Bihar. His flight back to the US is scheduled for December 24, and he is currently trying to recover his money so that he can go back as planned.
