Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shocking incident in Betiya. A young man had gone to the SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) to contribute on behalf of his deceased step-brother in a road accident. When the investigation revealed this, SSB officers were also surprised and immediately took him into custody. The case belongs to the SSB’s 44th battalion in Narkatiaganj district. The arrested individual, Karma Veer Singh, is a resident of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, who had joined as a constable in the SSB headquarters in Delhi on the direction of the SSB headquarters in Delhi.
According to Shyam Kishor, Assistant Station House Officer of Shikarpur, a soldier from the 44th battalion of the SSB was handed over to the Shikarpur police. He is accused of joining the SSB based on fake certificates. The SSB’s Deputy Inspector, Kashmir Singh, has registered an FIR at the Shikarpur police station. The FIR states that Karma Veer Singh was appointed as a constable in the 65th battalion of the SSB in Bagaha. However, it was discovered that a person named Manoj Kumar from Hemu Nagar village in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh, had fraudulently reported his appointment in the 44th battalion of the SSB to the SSB headquarters in Delhi on October 22.
During the investigation, it was found that Manoj Kumar had submitted false documents instead of Karma Veer Singh’s photo, medical report, Aadhaar card, online data verification, and financial proof. This information was provided to the Superintendent of Police in Patna. The investigation revealed that Manoj Kumar had impersonated Karma Veer Singh. Meanwhile, there was a panic at the SSB headquarters upon receiving information about the impersonation.
Manoj, who was trapped in the impersonation case, revealed to the Shikarpur police that Karma Veer Singh was his step-brother. Unfortunately, Karma Veer Singh died in a road accident on the same day he received his appointment letter. Since their faces resembled each other, Manoj discarded his own identification documents and assumed the identity of Karma Veer Singh in order to secure a job.
