Bhaskar.com reported that today, a nationwide bandh (strike) has been called by Maoists in India. The Maoists have put up banners before starting the strike. The state is on high alert due to this strike. The police headquarters has issued an alert in all districts regarding this strike. Police officers have been informed by the intelligence department that the Maoists may launch attacks in their influential areas during the strike, so they have been instructed to exercise extra vigilance during the police campaign.

Instructions to not engage in any loose movement:
The headquarters has instructed not to engage in any kind of loose movement during the strike. There is also concern that the Maoists may target police pickets, camps, patrolling parties, and even scooty vehicles during the strike. Additionally, they may attack railway tracks or government property to cause damage. Therefore, special vigilance has been ordered in areas where government construction work is underway.

Maoist propaganda campaign:
It is noteworthy that to make the strike successful, the Maoists have been running a propaganda campaign since December 16. During this time, the Maoists also put up posters in their influential areas, including Kolhan.

Railway tracks blocked near Goilkera station:
As soon as the strike started, the railway tracks near Goilkera station were blocked late on Thursday night.
