Railway News: The Indian Railways had announced the construction of a new railway line within 2011, which was to be built from Hansi Mahal to Rohtak. The foundation stone for this project was laid in 2013 and 2014. The government had approved Rs 755 crore for the railway line, which had an initial cost of Rs 287 crore. After 13 years, this railway line has been completed.

In September, Railway Safety Commissioner R.K. Sharma inspected the Hansi-Gharaunda railway line. On September 30, Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced on Twitter that the construction of the Hansi-Maham-Rohtak railway line has been completed and the testing at a speed of 118 km/h has been successful. Chief Minister Manohar Lal also shared a video to celebrate this achievement.

The new Hansi-Rohtak railway line will start from near Hansi Railway Station and will go towards Rohtak instead of Bhiwani. There will be five stations on the 68.5 km long railway line, which passes through 20 villages. The first station after Hansi will be Bahua Akbarpur village, followed by Gharaunda, Madina, Balamba, Kharakda, and finally Rohtak. The distance between Hisar and Rohtak will be reduced by 20 km with the new railway line.
