Fire breaks out in Indian Bank branch and saree center in Aurangabad city. The fire started late Monday night and caused damage to property worth more than three crore rupees. Officials from the bank and saree center, along with most of the business owners in the market, worked throughout the night to extinguish the fire. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
The fire started around 10 pm and the fire brigade arrived at the scene around 11 pm. It took them several hours to control the fire, and by morning, the saree center was completely burnt down. The owner of the saree center stated that goods worth three to four crore rupees were destroyed. The bank manager reported that the branch’s windows, walls, and some documents were damaged. The extent of the loss will be assessed once the bank opens at 10:30 am.
There is a possibility that computers and furniture inside the bank branch were also destroyed. Although the first floor of the market complex, where the bank branch is located, may not have suffered significant damage. Business owners in the market complex are concerned about the security of their establishments. Prior to this incident, there had been a fire in the same saree center. Local authorities had advised business owners to take precautions to prevent such incidents, but the fire still occurred. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
