In the Lutua police station area of Gaya district, there is still no information about Munshee Shahnavaz Khan, who was kidnapped by Naxalites on Sunday night near the Asurain bridge. However, according to police sources, after the incident, the police have taken a suspicious youth into custody. Meanwhile, the police are interrogating the suspect in custody.
It should be noted that the Naxalites demanded a ransom of 3 million rupees within 24 hours. This incident was carried out by Naxalite Vikas Yadav. After the 24-hour ultimatum passed, the concern for the kidnapped Munshee’s family increased. After the kidnapping, the Cobra Battalion, CRPF, and Bihar Police personnel are conducting search operations in the jungles of Lutua and its surrounding areas.
Until Wednesday morning, there is still no information about Munshee Shahnavaz Khan. Even after 48 hours, the police are empty-handed. On Saturday evening, SSP Ashish Bharati, City SP, and Naxal Campaign SP Mukesh Sevarya visited the jungle in Lutua to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, the police force involved in the search operation is meticulously combing through the jungle. The route is being checked with a metal detector. Prior to this, during the search operation, there have been several incidents of IED blasts.
Naxal Campaign SP Mukesh Sevarya has said that continuous search operations are being conducted at the Naxalite hideouts for the safe recovery of Munshee Shahnavaz Khan. The police are making every effort to bring back the abducted youth as soon as possible. During this time, some suspicious boys have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.
Naxalites demanded a ransom of 3 million rupees
In the Asurain area near Lotah police station, a bridge is being constructed at a cost of around 20 million rupees. The Naxalites have demanded 3 million rupees in extortion from the contractor. On Sunday evening, around three armed Naxalites kidnapped Munshee Shahnavaz Khan and two laborers. Later, the laborers were beaten and left in the jungle. However, the Naxalites took Munshee Shahnavaz with them. According to sources, the Naxalite squad also included a 300,000 rupee reward Naxalite, Vikas Yadav, who made the ransom demand.
