Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to leave for Delhi soon. On Friday, he will attend the national executive and national council meetings of his party, Janata Dal United (JDU). There are speculations about the removal of JDU’s national president Lalan Singh and whether there will be any changes within the party. The answers to these questions may be revealed on Friday.
Before heading to Delhi, CM Nitish Kumar will visit Kankarbagh to pay tribute to late BJP leader and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley. He will commemorate Jaitley’s birth anniversary. After that, CM Nitish will return to his residence and then depart for Delhi from Patna Airport.
On December 29, the national executive meeting of JDU will be held in Delhi. This has led to speculations about the possible political decisions of Nitish Kumar. JDU’s national president Lalan Singh has called for this regular meeting, where discussions are expected to take place on the recent election results in five states, the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, caste-based surveys in Bihar, and other subjects. CM Nitish Kumar will address the national executive and national council meetings of JDU, along with party’s national president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and other senior officials.
