Big News: Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav Reach Agreement on Lok Sabha Seats
Amidst reports of Nitish Kumar’s dissatisfaction with the Congress, a major development has emerged in the politics of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Bihar. It is being reported that Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav have reached an agreement on the distribution of Lok Sabha seats. According to sources, the formula for seat distribution has already been prepared in Bihar.
Seat Distribution in Bihar
According to the information received, Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats, with JD(U) and RJD contesting on 17 seats each. The remaining 6 seats can be given to Congress (5 seats) and Left parties (1 seat). However, it is also being said that the decision on the number of seats to be contested by the Congress and Left parties is yet to be finalized.
JD(U) and RJD’s Seat Distribution
According to sources, JD(U) and RJD have provided information regarding the distribution of their seats to the Congress leadership. JD(U) has clearly stated to the Congress leaders that they already have 16 seats and cannot compromise on that. However, it should be noted that before this, Congress has already staked claim on 10 seats to contest in Bihar. On the other hand, the Left parties are also vying for 5 seats in Bihar. With the formula now finalized by RJD and JD(U), Congress and Left parties are left with only 6 seats to fight for. This may lead to some tense moments in the politics of the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.
