Highlights
Several duplicate packets of salt sent from Gujarat were seized in Muzaffarpur. An FIR has been filed against the Superintendent of the Muzaffarpur Sarai Railway Station and two others. The supply of salt was being done through railway wagons.
Investigation and Arrests
The FIR has been filed under the Copyright Act, Trade Marks Act, and several sections of the IPC against the Director of Research Investigation Security Private Limited, a resident of Hugli, Bharat Kumar, a businessman from Gujarat, Atmaram Chaudhary, and a salt supplier from Sarai, Sujit Kumar.
Seizure and Suspects
The salt, Mahavir Tulsi Shakti Salt, which resembled Tata salt, was seized. A large quantity of the seized salt has been handed over to Birju Kumar, a resident of Bhagalpur, as it is difficult to keep it at the police station. Bhojendra Kumar Singh, the director of the agency working for Tata, and a team of the Railway Police had reached Sarai Malgodam in the Muzaffarpur-Hajipur rail section.
गुजरात से भेजी गई डुप्लीकेट नमक की बोरियां मुजफ्फरपुर सराय रेलवे स्टेशन पर पकड़ी गईं। इस मामले में टाटा कंपनी के नमक के पैकेटों की नकली बोरियों का इस्तेमाल कर घटिया नमक घरों तक पहुंचाया जा रहा था। इसके चलते मुजफ्फरपुर रेल थाने में एफआईआर दर्ज कराई गई है और तीन लोगों पर मामला दर्ज किया गया है। यह एफआईआर टाटा कंपनी से जुड़ी अनुसंधान इन्वेस्टिगेशन सिक्योरिटी प्राइवेट लिमिटेड में निदेशक भोजेंद्र कुमार सिंह ने दर्ज कराई है। इस मामले में तीनों आरोपितों पर कॉपीराइट एक्ट, ट्रेड मार्क एक्ट के अलावा आईपीसी की दर्जन भर धाराओं में प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है।
