Simple Energy Launches Cheapest Electric Scooter, Simple Dot One
Simple Energy has launched its cheapest electric scooter, the Simple Dot One, this month. The ex-showroom price was initially set at 99,999 INR. However, this introductory price offer will end on January 1, 2024, after which the price will increase by 40,000 INR, making it 1.39 lakh INR starting from the new year. The company will only accept pre-bookings until January 27. The scooter can be booked via the company’s official website.
Simple Dot One Single Variant and Features
The company has launched the electric scooter only in a single variant for now. The Dot One will be equipped with fixed batteries and will offer a range of 151Km on a single charge. It comes in four color options ★Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. The Dot One comes with a 750W charger and the company claims that the first deliveries will begin in Bengaluru, followed by other cities.
Performance and Competition
The scooter can reach a speed of 40 km per hour from 0 in just 2.7 seconds. It comes with a 3.7kWh battery pack and features an 8.5kW electric motor that generates a torque of 72Nm. The e-scooter comes with 12-inch wheels, a touchscreen instrument panel, CBS, disc brakes on both wheels, 35-liter under-seat storage, and app connectivity. It will compete with models from Ola, Ather, and TVS.
