Nina Singh, who belongs to the Ghanashyampur Panchayat in Darbhanga district, is an IPS officer of the 1989 batch from the Rajasthan cadre. She is the daughter of Ganesh Lal Das, a resident of Ghanon village. Nina is the eldest among her six siblings. She got married to IAS officer Rohit Kumar Singh from the Rajasthan cadre. Nina completed her education in major cities like Patna and Delhi. Alongside Nina, her brother Prashant Kumar has also been appointed as the DGP of Uttar Pradesh. Hence, it can be said that Bihar has achieved two major milestones.

Nina Singh from Darbhanga has become the first female DGP of CISF, while Prashant Kumar from Siwan has been appointed as the DGP of Uttar Pradesh. Prashant Kumar is an IPS officer of the 1990 batch. बिहार के दरभंगा जिले की बेटी नीना सिंह ने अपनी उपलब्धि के साथ-साथ मिथिलांचल और खासकर दरभंगा के लिए गर्व की बात है। वह दरभंगा जिले के घनश्यामपुर प्रखंड की बस्ती निवासी हैं और पहली महिला डीजी बनाई गई हैं। इससे पूरे मिथिलांचल के लोगों के लिए यह गर्व की बात है। उनकी पढ़ाई पटना और दिल्ली में हुई है और मूल रूप से दरभंगा के ही हैं। इसके साथ ही उनके पति रोहित कुमार सिंह भी उत्तर प्रदेश के डीजी बनाए गए हैं। इससे बिहार को दो बड़ी उपलब्धियां मिली हैं और बिहार का गौरव बढ़ा है।
