In a heartwarming incident, a 12-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Sahdei Bujurg, Vaishali district, Bihar, was reunited with his family after two long years. The boy, Vikas Kumar, had left home after an argument with his mother, Jai Mala Devi, who accused him of stealing fish from a net. Unable to find a way back home, he traveled to Mumbai with a friend from the village. It was there that he met Ganesh Patel, a software engineer, who sympathized with his situation and took him to his home. Patel took care of Vikas like his own son, enrolling him in school and even getting an Aadhaar card made for him. However, Vikas longed to meet his parents again and turned to social media for help.
After Vikas posted his photo on Facebook, it was seen by his maternal uncle who then contacted him and informed the local police. Upon receiving this information, the police took immediate action and successfully located the boy in Nagpur. Vikas was finally reunited with his parents, bringing immense joy to both him and his mother. It is worth mentioning that a case was registered regarding the boy’s disappearance two and a half years ago, and the police became actively involved in the search once they received an input in the matter.
