Jharkhand experienced a slight increase in cold weather on Saturday, with Ranchi, the capital, and other parts of the state recording a maximum temperature that was about 6 degrees lower than usual. Light clouds were observed in the area. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding fog, stating that the cold weather will continue to intensify in the beginning of the new year.

The weather department issued a yellow alert on Sunday for dense fog in various parts of the state. Rainfall is expected from 1st to 3rd January, which will result in a drop in temperature due to the cold winds. However, the weather may change again after 3rd January, although the cold weather will persist.

According to the meteorological department, there has been an increase of 2 to 5 degrees in the minimum temperature in the state, while the maximum temperature has decreased. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand stated that clouds will cover most parts of the state after 1st January. There will be light rain on 2nd and 3rd January. Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, and Garhwa have already witnessed clouds due to the western disturbance.

झारखंड में शनिवार को दिन में ठंड में हल्की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई है। पलामू और आसपास के जिलों में तापमान करीब 6 डिग्री नीचे गिर गया है और यहां हल्के बादल छाए रहे हैं। मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक नए साल की शुरुआत पर ठंड और बढ़ेगी और IMD ने कोहरे को लेकर अलर्ट जारी किया है। रविवार को मौसम विभाग ने राज्य के विभिन्न हिस्सों में घना कुहासा छाए रहने का यलो अलर्ट जारी किया है और तीन जनवरी तक बारिश की संभावना है। तापमान में गिरावट के कारण ठंड का प्रकोप जारी रहेगा।
