Itel Launches P55+ Smartphone in Africa
Itel has launched its P55+ smartphone in Africa. The smartphone was spotted last month in the Google Play console database. The P55+ comes with a 90Hz display, Unisoc processor, up to 256GB internal storage, and 45W fast charging.

The Itel P55+ is expected to be priced at $140 (approximately 11,654 rupees) in Africa. The smartphone will be available in colours like Galaxy Blue, Royal Green, and Meteor Purple.

The Itel P55+ features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD punch-hole display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The smartphone runs on Itel’s custom UI based on Android. The phone comes with 4GB/8GB RAM, which can be expanded to 8GB through virtual RAM. It also offers 128GB/256GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. According to Itel, the phone’s battery can be charged up to 65% in just 30 minutes, while a full charge can be achieved in 75 minutes.
Camera Setup and Connectivity Options
The P55+ features a 50-megapixel primary camera with an AI lens and LED flash on the rear. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Connectivity options include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.4 mm audio jack. For security, the phone includes face unlock. The smartphone operates on the Unisoc T606.
