The purpose of this is to make the newlyweds understand that joy and sorrow are two sides of the same coin. Both happiness and sorrow will come in life. Therefore, one should live in harmony with nature. Origin of Kohbar: Sanjeev Sinha explains that Kohbar is derived from the combination of two words. Koh means cave and bar means groom. It means the place where the groom resides. Kohbar is made from readily available materials. It is made using a sack, cow dung, clay pots, red ochre, moist soil, turmeric, etc. Traditionally, women make it.
