Family’s Gold Medal Winning Preethi
Preethi from Muzaffarpur has not only brought glory to her family but also to the entire state. She won a gold medal in the national-level rugby competition held in Bhubaneswar. After winning the gold medal, Preethi, who arrived in her small village, gives credit to her laborer father for her achievement. Preethi revealed that despite the financial difficulties, her disabled father always encouraged her. Her mother is a housewife and takes care of household chores along with looking after her two siblings. Her father goes to work every day and comes home in the evening. He had participated in the Ranji National School Football competition, in which Preethi won a gold medal.
Father Cannot Speak or Hear
Residents of the neighborhood revealed that the financial condition of rugby player Preethi and her family is very poor. Her father works as a laborer and cannot speak or hear. Despite this, he motivates his daughter to reach the top. Preethi has three siblings. The responsibility of their education lies on their father. The school teachers have also been very supportive in helping Preethi reach this position. Preethi also credits her teachers along with her parents for her success.
Promise to Support Education and Sports
Preethi is a student of 9th grade in Sakri Saraiya High School in Kudhani block of Muzaffarpur district. She manages to play rugby in her village after making time for studies, with full support from her school teachers. After winning the gold medal in the national rugby school, she was honored by the school and her family. The principal of the school, Veer Prakash Thakur, also honored her and promised to support her education and sports expenses until 12th grade.
मुजफ्फरपुर की प्रीति ने भुवनेश्वर में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय स्तर की रग्बी खेल में स्वर्ण पदक जीता है। इससे पहले भी प्रीति ने रणजी नेशनल स्कूल फुटबॉल खेल प्रतियोगिता में गोल्ड मेडल जीता था। प्रीति के पिता मजदूरी करते हैं और उनकी आर्थिक हालत बहुत ही खराब है, लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी बेटी को पढ़ाई और खेल के लिए पूरा समर्पण दिया है। प्रीति को अपने मजदूर पिता के साथ उनके गुरुजन को भी सफलता का श्रेय दिया जाता है। उन्हें विद्यालय परिवार ने सम्मानित किया और उनकी 12वीं तक की पढ़ाई और खेल का पूरा खर्चा देने का वादा किया है।
