Bihar Weather AQI Report: Weather in Bihar is expected to be foggy in southern, northern and north-central parts with a possibility of brief sunshine in other districts including Patna. However, most parts of the state will experience fog on January 8th, with a decrease of one to two degrees in daytime temperature. There is no possibility of a decrease in nighttime temperature. Therefore, people will feel chilly even during the day after being exposed to the sun. There will also be light wind with fog in the morning.
Rainfall in the past 24 hours: According to the Meteorological Center, during the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in most places in southern-western Bihar, some places in south-central Bihar, northern-western Bihar, and southern-eastern Bihar. The highest temperature was recorded in Farbisganj at 26.6 degrees, while the lowest temperature was recorded in Sabour at 9.8 degrees. Patna recorded temperatures of 21.7 and 15.6 degrees, Gaya recorded temperatures of 21.0 and 14.4 degrees, Bhagalpur recorded temperatures of 21.9 and 15.8 degrees, Purnia recorded temperatures of 24.8 and 12.1 degrees, Balmiki Nagar recorded temperatures of 20.6 and 12.0 degrees, Muzaffarpur recorded temperatures of 21.6 and 15.7 degrees, Chapra recorded temperatures of 23.4 and 12.8 degrees, Darbhanga recorded temperatures of 24 and 12 degrees, and Supaul recorded temperatures of 23.6 and 15.0 degrees.
Weather in Patna: The minimum temperature in Patna and its surrounding areas has increased once again. On Saturday, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 15.6 degrees Celsius, seven degrees higher than normal, while there was no increase in the maximum temperature due to the absence of sunlight. The maximum temperature remained at 21.8 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast by the Meteorological Center, there is no possibility of any significant change in temperature in the city in the next three to four days. Dense fog is predicted in many places in the district. Currently, due to a cyclonic system 1.5 to 4.5 kilometers above sea level in western Uttar Pradesh, there is rainfall in some places. Air Quality Index in Bhagalpur: On Saturday, Bhagalpur recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 401, the highest among all cities in the country. Along with Bhagalpur, the AQI of seven other cities in Bihar was also recorded as very poor. For the past two months, there has been an increase in pollution levels in all cities of Bihar. Experts say that during the cold days, polluted particles cannot rise higher, resulting in poor air quality in the cities. The concern is that as long as the cold weather continues, pollution will remain a problem in all cities.
